1. How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 45 minutes spent with your trainer. We ask our clients to arrive 15 minutes early for their appointments to properly warm up with a few minutes of cardiovascular exercise and client-specific flexiblity exercises. After the session, we suggest cooling down a minimum of 5 minutes. So, plan on spending 60-70 minutes at each of your sessions.
2. How many times do I come per week?
This depends primarily on what your goal(s) is/are. If you are training to lose weight, reduce body fat or otherwise change your body composition, a minimum of 3 times per week is recommended. We have clients who begin more aggressively by training 4-5 times per week and then tapering back to 2 times per week once they've achieved their desired result.
3. What kinds of exercise will I be doing?
FT uses the NASM OPT model to train clients and this model consists of the following areas of fitness: flexibility, core conditioning, balance, plyometrics, speed/agility/quickness, and strength training. Our trainers will utilize the most effective exercises and drills from many different disciplines to get you the results you want in the quickest, safest manner possible. In any workout you may do: weight training, pilates, boot-camp/body weight exercises, stretching, cardio intervals and a myriad of other boredom-busting exercises.
4. Are your trainers certified?
All of FT's trainers are certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Roughly half also have earned bachelor's or graduate degrees. Additionally, all trainers are taken through several weeks of FT's "in-house" training program emphasizing our unique, one-on-one training style.
5. How much does it cost?
Again, this depends on your needs. Our package options have a built-in discount where purchasing more sessions makes each session less expensive. The more you need, the less each one costs. Currently, sessions range in price from $55 down to $46 per session. Call us for a specific quote.
6. How long does it take to see results?
We re-assess our clients at 8 week intervals. This is enough time to show statistically significant results for most people. Our clients who have followed our complete weekly plan and journaled their healthy nutrition plans have consistently lost 15-20 pounds, 4-6% body fat and seen remarkable improvements in strength and endurance in this 2 month period. Like most things in life, the more YOU put into it, the more YOU will get out of it. A personal trainer is not a magic pill. We provide the plan, YOU still have to carry it out.
