West Edmond Fitness Trainers
susanSusan Breithaupt has lived in Oklahoma all her life.  She moved from Bartlesville to Edmond at the age of 6 and has never left.  After graduating from Edmond Memorial, Susan began working in the medical field for Aegis, a biomedical waste firm.  This led her to her next interest in the field of Lithotripsy (treatment of kidney stones by shockwaves).  She worked in all areas of this field for Lithotripsy America, Inc. before purchasing a holmium-YAG laser with two other partners and forming Mobile By Design, L.L.C.

Susan traveled throughout the region, sitting in on and supervising the use of this laser in this relatively new method of breaking up kidney stones.  She was bought out of the business after two years and it was at this time that she met and subsequently married Bart Breithaupt.  Soon after their wedding, they opened their first Fitness Together studio.  While the studio grew and became successful, Susan worked as an administrator with Haas Publishing Company and began her study of personal training.

Susan attended the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s workshop and certification program in Dallas to prepare her for working with the variety of clients the studio sees.

In April 2004, Susan completed the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon.  Always active and a versatile athlete, Susan enjoys the “personal” aspect of personal fitness training and building relationships with those desiring change.  She and her husband Bart live in Edmond where they are raising their first child, Jackson

sterlingMy name is Sterling Fancher and I was born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma. In fact, I have lived in Edmond my entire life. Throughout childhood I grew up playing baseball, football and basketball. I continued to play all three sports through high school at Edmond North and where I graduated from eventually at Edmond Memorial. During my high school years I wanted to become an architect. This soon changed when I was a senior in high school when lifting weights became much more than something I was forced to do. Exercise became something very important to me; it became a way of life. Because of this transition I wanted to become a personal trainer.

As a personal trainer I felt that I could help those that were in need to become more physically fit and to help them feel better about themselves. Due to my decision to want to become a personal trainer I decided that I wanted to know more than the "average Joe trainer", so I made the decision to major in exercise and fitness management at the University of Central Oklahoma. During my junior year I had the opportunity to put into action what I have been learning since the age of twelve when I first started physically exercising and then again at a more advanced level in college. This opportunity came about when Bart Breithaupt offered me the opportunity to work for him at Fitness Together. Currently I have twenty-one hours left of college to graduate where I will continue to pursue my career in exercise and fitness.

bartBart Breithaupt was born in Oklahoma City but soon moved to Topeka, Kansas where he lived from age 3 to 14.  Moving back to the OKC area for high school he attended Edmond Memorial where he played basketball and competed in track and field.  After high school, Bart used a partial academic scholarship to attend Oklahoma State University and walk on the track and field team where he earned a partial athletic scholarship.  Competing in the long and triple jumps, Breithaupt earned All Big- 8 honors in 1990.  It was here at Oklahoma State that he developed a strong interest in physiology and specifically exercise-related physiology.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in 1992, Bart applied for graduate school and began absorbing and applying research pertaining to human performance improvement.  Beginning a Master’s Degree program at the University of Oklahoma spurred his interest in obtaining certification for strength and conditioning consulting.  His research project involved analyzing the effects of an exercise program in patients suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea.  While finishing graduate work, Bart attended the National Strength and Conditioning Association Convention in Atlanta during the Olympic Games Trials Weeks.  It was here that he decided that working with clients one on one to improve health and fitness was what he wanted to do.  Bart has worked with teenagers, elite athletes and the elderly.

He and his wife Susan live in Edmond where they are raising their first child, Jackson  Bart enjoys reading, swimming, golfing and traveling whenever possible.
